Privacy
Fourth Space Games is a game store at 524 2nd St, Portsmouth, Ohio. This page covers this website and our chat, including messages you send our Facebook page and the texts we send you. We collect as little as we can, we use it to answer you, and we do not sell it to anyone.
What we collect
Chat on this site. The messages you send, plus a name and email if you choose to give them so we can reply later. The chat also records basic technical details like your browser type and rough location from your internet address, which helps us spot spam.
Facebook messages. When you message the Fourth Space Games Facebook page, we receive your message and the name and profile picture Facebook shares with page owners. We use them only to read and answer your message.
Event forms. If you submit an event to the community calendar or sign up for a tournament, we get what you type into the form, such as a name, a team name, contact details and a Discord username. We use it to run that event and to contact you about it.
Text messages. If you agree to texts at the store, we keep your mobile number and when you agreed, and use them to text you about your orders and repairs. Texts are sent through our messaging provider, Twilio. Details are on our text messages page.
Server logs. Like nearly every website, our server logs each request for a limited time, for security and fixing errors.
What we do not do
- No analytics, advertising pixels or tracking scripts on this site.
- No selling, renting or trading your information. Ever.
- No marketing from your chat or Facebook messages. We answer what you asked.
- No marketing texts unless you tick the separate "events and deals" box.
Your mobile number
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Reply STOP to any of our texts to stop them.
Where it is kept
Chat and Facebook messages are kept on our own chat server, run by us, not by a chat company. Calendar submissions are kept on this website's server. Tournament sign-ups go to a Google Sheet that the event organizers use. Facebook keeps its own copy of messages sent through Messenger, under Facebook's own privacy policy.
Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your chat history, your Facebook message history with us, or anything you sent through a form. Email sales@fourthspacegames.com, message our Facebook page, or call (740) 414-3547, and say what you want removed. We will delete it from our chat server and our records and confirm when it is done. There is no form and no fee.
To remove our access from your Facebook account, you can also delete the conversation in Messenger. Messages already sent to us stay with us until you ask us to delete them.
Kids
Plenty of our customers are kids, and they are welcome in the shop. If you are a parent and want something your child sent us removed, contact us and it is done.
